After visiting Blog Carnival and finding no trace of horse related carnivals I decided that Horse Approved would be a great place to host the first Horse Lovers Blog Carnival.

What is a Blog Carnival? It’s basically one carnival host (like Horse Approved) listing links to posts that have been submitted by people interested in the carnival. The host usually includes a little information about the posts listed. The desire of this carnival is to have links to posts that you are especially proud of. The topic must be horse related but the blog does not have to be an all horse blog.

The first carnival submission deadline is January 30th at 5pm Pacific Standard Time.  Submissions will be posted on Horse Approved by 8 pm PST on Jan. 31st.

My hope is that we will have a lot of great horse blog post to read on Jan. 31st. Please remember to post about this carnvial on your blog so that this event can be a great success. Click here to submit your post.

If you would like to host the second blog carnival please submit your information on Blog Carnival.

Blog Carnival does have an ongoing horse one at http://horses.blogcarnival.com/

I have no idea who runs it or what sort of posts/themes they’re trying to showcase, though.

I love your idea to have everyone submit their favorite posts–anything that helps bring bloggers together is a great idea, but even better if we can show off a bit :D I’ll have to see what I can find. Great idea!

I’d love to participate also. I’ll get over there and submit a post. I often read the Carnival of the Cats, which is blogged about regularly on Catcall at the Houston Chronicle. They have a Carnival every week, but then again there’s a ton of cat blogs, and a ton of people who just own cats.

i have a 16 year 100% track record “Not one single lame horse” due to my shoeing methods. Just hoping to get the information out. It’s not taught in the Farrier schools or textbooks.
