It’s getting warmer outside, the flowers are blooming, baby animals are being born. It must be spring. I love spring. It’s my favorite time of year.
For some reason this spring I am having a difficult time getting out to work with the horses. I don’t really have a good excuse for not getting out. I am very busy but that doesn’t seem to ever end so I can’t use that as an excuse. The problem is I really do want to have my “horsey time”. I don’t know about you but the time I spend with my horses is very therapeutic. So why don’t I do what is good for me? Not sure I know the answer to that one. I do know that this is not the only area of my life I neglect.
My hope is that my horses won’t be too angry at me that I have not worked with them for a while. The are still enjoying life. Since it is spring there is plenty of grass for them to graze on. I have highly food motivated horses so the time the get to spend grazing is horse heaven to them.
I think this weekend I will at least make it a point to groom them. I know they really enjoyed being groomed.
