It’s Horse Lovers not Horse Lover’s
I have been confused about whether I should be writing horse lovers or horse lover’s. I thought I had it right when I first started the horse lovers blog carnival but then I visited another blog and they had it written horse lover’s. Since grammar is not one of my strengths I assumed I was wrong and started writing ‘horse lover’s’. It turns out I was right the first time ![]()
I received an email to day from “A” (I am assuming that means Anonymous) who set me straight.
what a great blog!
so fun to read!but please- you use the term ‘horse lovers’ often enough (understandably
so, since it’s the point of the blog!:D ) that I just had to drop a note to
mention that it’s NOT supposed to be apostrophed!so- not
LOVER’S
but rather just plain
LOVERSwith the apostrophe, it means something that belongs to a lover- like
saying “My lover’s heart is true.”anyway, thanks for putting up with this- it’s not to correct you, but
rather to keep you from turning off readers who would otherwise be very
interested in what you have to write!thanks again for a very fun site!

Thanks A, I really was wondering which way was the right way. So if you were writing horse lover’s, stop doing that. It’s Horse Lovers

I am so thankful I don’t have to change the carnival button.
By the way don’t forget the Horse Lovers Blog Carnival is in a few weeks - April 25th, submission deadline is the 24th.
